Healthy Chocolate Shake

A smoothie that tastes more like a chocolate milkshake? I'll take 3.

This extra thick smoothie has a base of coconut cream, which acts as the healthy fat in this recipe and also lends the most delicious, creamy consistency. My favorite smoothie recipe to date.

This smoothie covers all the bases: protein, healthy fats, and fiber. Bonus- there's sweet potato in there for some extra vitamins + minerals, and you can't even tell!

I love that smoothies are the perfect way to jam pack a bunch of nutrients into one glass. There are even tons of antioxidants and minerals in the cacoa powder! I hope you love it as much as I do :)




Serves 1


  • 1-2 cups dairy free milk of choice

  • 1/4 cup coconut cream (I buy mine from Trader Joe's or Whole Foods)

  • 1/2 cup roasted sweet potato (I roast, chop, then freeze)

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 2 tbsp raw cacoa powder

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1-2 scoops protein of choice

  • Optional: Maca root for energy levels and a slight malt flavor
