Pumpkin + Peanut Butter Smoothie
With fall just around the corner, I usually start to replace my cold smoothies with a warmer breakfast, like a creamy bowl of oats. However, I'm a sucker for anything pumpkin and so this fall-inspired smoothie was born.
This smoothie is
- Low in sugar
- High in protein
- High in fiber + healthy fats
It packs a lot of flavor, and tons of vitamins and minerals from the addition of pumpkin. I love a plant-based protein in this smoothie to ensure it keeps me full and satisfied.
This smoothie will definitely get you in the fall spirit :)
1 cup dairy free milk (I use coconut or almond milk)
1/4-1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 frozen banana
1 serving of plant-based protein (I like Aloha Moment)
2 tbsp peanut butter (or sunflower seed butter or tahini for a nut-free version)
1 tbsp ground flax seed or chia seeds
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Drop of vanilla extract
