straight up addicting!
this sauce actually comes from the herby green shakshuka recipe! I was so obsessed with that sauce, I knew it would be good on just about anything.
this is super easy to throw together. it’s full of fresh, nutrient dense greens and herbs. plus some healthy fats, which is always a bonus for a more filling and nutrient-dense meal.
I paired my sauce with gluten free brown rice spaghetti, but you can choose your favorite noodles or veggie pasta!
serves about 1-2, depending on what it is served with
1 cup of fresh parsley, stems removed
1 cup packed fresh basil
1 cup packed baby spinach
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup water
1-2 tbsp green hot sauce
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp salt
few cracks of black pepper
Juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon
Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until a smooth sauce forms. If needed, add more lemon juice or a splash of almond milk to thin.
